Is this guy an idiot or what?

This is from a friend's blog. John Hagee preaching that 1 Timothy 5:8 says that Mr. Mom's are going to Hell. Not sure what version of the Bible Mr. Hagee has but I have the NIV and it doesn't seem to mention stay at home Dads:

1 Timothy 5:8 (New International Version) If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Unless of course I missed the part where raising children is not providing for his family. He must be talking about money not Love, nurturing, and discipline. Maybe Mr. Hagee should pay closer attention to some of the deadly sins, namely gluttony based on my observation of his circumference. I don't hold it against someone just because he can't push away from the table and he likes his yummies. But maybe, just maybe, he ought to be careful when throwing stones.

Eat a live toad the first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.

I think Hagee needs to spend a day in your shoes and let me know how easy it is to "sit on your backside". :)

I give him two hours and the kids would have destroyed the house and tied him to something!!!

Maybe the relevant phrase in his comment is "sit on your backside", anyone reading your blog knows that you are always on your feet!
Loved the quote at the end. It gave me my laugh for the day :)
Hope the kids are enjoying being back at school.

*chuckle* My wife loved that video too. We'll let Hagee change 12+ diapers and go up 2 flights of stairs 20+ times a day. :)

I am so behind on my blog reading thanks to Ike and my chosen profession. I have never been a Hagee fan and this is just further proof of what a complete idiot he is. IMO.

Glad you guys had a good bday weekend! Happy bday to the trio and congrats to mom and dad for surviving yet another year. We aren't far behind and mine are already acting 2. I can't wait to hear how "Toddler Boot Camp" goes.

I have no clue why your wife is at work and you are at home with your children, but, that isn't important. Your children are being cared for by one of their TWO Christian parents and THAT is important.

If you both were working outside the home, and your children were in daycare you would be spending no less than $300.00 a week JUST to pay someone that doesn't love them as much as you or the CFO does. And if you were paying a Professional Nanny no less than $600.00 a week to come to your home and take care of your children, there would still be the laundry, the cleaning, the shopping, the errands, the teaching, the LOVING that only a parent can do the way that your want your children to be loved.

I don't know how ANYONE could say that YOU are not providing for your family.

Keep up the good work and enjoy playing with your babies. They are gifts from your Father above.
