Just our luck

Our friend/previous Nanny, Miss Kelly visited us this past weekend. We had a very busy and GREAT weekend! We went to the Zoo Saturday and Miss Kelly sponsored (paid for) all of us to ride the train at the Zoo. No small feat considering lunch was $30 and I didn't even order anything for myself:)

So we get all loaded on the train, everyone is excited and then..... there was a delay. An ambulance had been called for someone who fainted in the park. Needless to say the path the ambulance needed to take crossed the railroad tracks so the train could not move until the ambulance had left the park. But "luck favors the prepared darling" (Edna from The Incredibles), so we had snacks and sang songs to pass the time and we had no meltdowns!

I came across your blog by accident and its great. The triplets are gorgeous. I am the mother of 18 year old triplets (2 girls and a boy) and am at the other end of the spectrum now. They are all about to leave home and go to university. I will be bereft. For the past 18 years I have nurtured them, cleaned up after them, cooked, run them around, had their friends over, dried tears and celebrated with them. Our lives will be very quiet here once they leave and although they will come home, it will never be quite the same again. Enjoy your little family - because although its hard work and at times difficult as well as fun, you will turn around and they will be dating and driving and wanting to be independent. Just soak it all up and have a wonderful time. God Bless, Janie x
