OK, return the socks and I won't ask any questions

What is it with missing socks? For goodness sakes, just take both of them!! Ten, REALLY, ten missing socks. All from different pairs! I would throw them away but then the other ten would show up just to taunt me another time:)

What happened to Spring?

It is Murphy's Law that as soon as the YMCA takes the bubble off the pool it will turn cold again. I feel bad as I want to keep the Triplets up on their swim lessons but I think the low 60's is a bit chilly to go swimming, even if the pool is heated. I know I shouldn't complain as the dog days of Summer will be here before we know it but the Triplets have outgrown their Winter/Fall clothes. Oh well, it is a good thing that I am a SAHD so I can get away with dressing them funny:) Too bad they don't have high tops, that what I did when my pants got to short. They seam to mask the fact that you are wearing high waters:)

Too many people grow up. That's the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up. They forget. They don't remember what it's like to be 12 years old. They patronize, they treat children as inferiors. Well I won't do that.

Thump... wait for it... wait for it...

WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! If you have been around kids you know that feeling. You hear the THUMP then you freeze and call for quiet while you wait to see if there is any damage. It may come from behind you, the next room or upstairs but the response is the same.

Unfortunately for him, Jackson is usually the recipient of the worst noggin thumps. He also hits the same spot 95% of the time!

I Pledge Allegiance

Not that long ago the Triplets busted out with The Pledge of Allegiance. I love it when they surprise me with new stuff they learned at their day out program. Here is one of the times they show us what they can do. Of course Addison is more than happy to "help out" Jackson:)

Oh, a camping we will go...

I think I mentioned before that we have done a 180 from our previous life as home bodies. Before kids it was not uncommon for us to spend a weekend doing a few things around the house then the CFO would read and I would play video games. The most we did out of the house was when we owned motorcycles when we lived near Seattle. THAT frequently got us out of the house, rain or shine.

But now that we have the Triplets we get out for two main reasons. One, we don't want them to become home bodies. We want them to live active lives exploring the outdoors. Two, they LOVE getting out of the house and are much easier to contain. You know the expression... you can't control them, you can only hope to contain them:)

One of the things we like doing is going camping. We usually go with the Nuke Doc's family, as we did the other weekend. The best part of camping? Breakfast! Bacon, eggs, and coffee taste better around a campfire!

Our campsite the first morning. If the CFO looks a bit tired it is because our eight year old air mattress gave up the night before and there was not much sleep had by us.

One of the Nuke Doc's boys LOVES being the Tickle Monster where he chases (walks) after everyone with his arms going up and down. It is a game loved by all. He keeps chasing and they never get caught.

The boys' job was collecting kindling for the fire.

Warming up by the fire after a good game of Tickle Monster.

Notice the orange theme, War Eagle!

Yes, we still sometimes have to send them to time out.

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.

The CFO does it again!

How cool is it to have a Mom that LOVES bugs, snakes, and animals of all kinds! You never know what the CFO will bring home. Some days it is new clothes and other days it is something that moves:)

Yesterday she came home with a HUGE moth! I don't ask how I just accept it:) The Triplets were enthralled with it and luckily the dog did not eat it:) I will get pics of the kids with it soon.

The end of an era

One of the CFO's cousin's has been staying with us for the past year while she worked in Birmingham. On a side note, I am always confused on whether the CFO's cousin in my cousin, my cousin in-laws, or just her cousin. I consider her cousins mine but I say they are hers to lessen the confusion, I hope:) She has been the been the best roommate that a family with Triplets could have but alas, all good things must come to an end. She is moving back to Florida to again work with/for her first love, Disney. She has been a blessing in all of our lives and our thoughts/prayers will be with her in this new chapter in her life.

Addison was not very happy until we told her that her cousin was going to live with Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
